Weekly Meeting Schedule
Each month our weekly meetings follow the schedule below. This has been designed with both beginners and established practitioners in mind. Both are welcomed to attend all meetings, but please read the descriptions below to see what you can expect at each meeting. You are then free to decide what evening best suit your needs. With all evenings, we always aim to dedicate some time for meditation, questions and cups of tea!
1st Thursday of every month
“CHENREZIG PUJA" Evening
Chenrezig symbolises compassion and a Puja is a practice involving chanting, visualisation and meditation. This is an aspirational practice to imagine how it might feel to have limitless compassion for ourselves, others, and discover what stands in our way
2nd Thursday of every month
“MINDFULNESS & MEDITATION” evening
This evening provides a space where we can develop and reflect on our meditation and mindfulness practice. These evenings are led by Liz Shelley, an Accredited Psychotherapeutic Counsellor who herself is a long-term practitioner of meditation under the guidance of Tibetan Lama Ringu Tulku Rinpoche and other Western teachers.
3rd Thursday of every month
“BUDDHIST CONCEPTS AND PRACTICES"
Led by Sean Davidson, these evenings explore how some of the different aspects of Buddhist practices tie up with the basic concepts of the Buddhist view of reality using short videos from a range of teachers to prompt discussion and meditation.
4th Thursday of every month
“INTEGRATING BUDDHIST PHILOSOPHY INTO EVERY DAY LIFE"
This is an open forum style evening whereby the facilitator will introduce an aspect of Buddhist philosophy and the group will discuss the practical applications of the concepts and their own experiences of integrating Buddhist teaching into their day-to-day interactions.
5th Thursday of the month
“RINPOCHE AUDIO/MOVIE NIGHT”
This is an evening when we can all sit back and enjoy the humorous yet profound wisdom of the groups main teacher and guide, Ringu Tulku Rinpoche.
